Club of the Week: Lighthouse Lions Esports

Happy New Year! We hope everyone had a safe New Year’s Eve, and we can’t wait to see what 2022 holds. We’re starting the new year by highlighting the Lighthouse Lions from the West Kensington section of Philadelphia! With a club space ready to be played in, you can catch the Lighthouse Lions planting spikes in Valorant, building in Fornite, and scoring goals in Rocket League on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday!

Club Manager Michael Lopez says, “The Esports club gives kids a chance to play different types of games, compete in challenges and play with other leagues. Esports has impacted my students in many ways like helping them to focus, making new friends, and socializing with new kids and staff. They will learn new skills that will be useful as they transition into teens and then adulthood.” We’re so happy to see the club creating a safe space for students to learn and grow!

We look forward to seeing what’s next for the Lighthouse Lions! Keep up with them here:
