Club of the Week: Laurel Highlands School District

Welcome to another week at Emerald Esports! Today we’re introducing Mustangs Esports, the esports club at Laurel Highland Senior High, managed by Jason Kurek in Fayette County, PA. The club has its own club space where you can find them scoring goals in Rocket League, winning victory royales in Fortnite, and knocking out in Super Smash Brothers anytime during the school day or after school.

Club Manager Jason Kurek says that as someone who has grown up gaming, he’s excited to provide an opportunity to his students to be part of the club where they can work together socially and meet new people. He says the club is excited to participate in any esports opportunity and hopes to see growth in the club’s membership. With one Rocket League tournament under their belt, they hope to continue their journey by competing and playing games together.
